Our Story
Moore's Holiday Homes are family owned and managed holiday rental properties in close proximity to the village of Dunfanaghy in Co. Donegal. Our 10 holiday homes are ideally located less than a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Dunfanaghy. A 2 minute walk takes you to Dunfanaghy Golf Club and past that, is the beautiful blue flag Killyhoey beach. This beach is less than a 5 minute stroll from the holiday homes.
On site there are large green communal areas, a playground for younger children, a tarmac fenced area which houses a tennis court and basketball practice hoop making Moores Holiday Homes the ideal place to stay for families.

The Dunfanaghy Area:
Dunfanaghy stables is located at Arnold’s hotel. The stables are very popular with beginners and novices to experienced horse riders - a great way to see this stunning part of the world.
Water sports are hugely popular in Dunfanaghy with 2 surf schools based in the village - Narosa and Jaws with activities on the numerous local sandy beaches. The Dunfanaghy area is fast becoming Donegal’s Mecca for surfers – whatever the weather.
Horn Head is a designated Irish National Heritage site. A drive or walk around Horn Head showcases Donegal’s wild coast line at it’s best.
Ards Forest Park is located just a few km from Dunfanaghy. This beautiful park is run by Coillte and uniquely has sandy beaches as well as kilometres of walking trails through the forest. It is possible to hike for 5/6 hours on the many tracks and trails taking in the full circuit of the park. There is an excellent play area and coffee shop with the park itself.
The renowned Glenveagh National Park is only a short journey by car from Dunfanaghy. It comprises of over 16,500 hectares of rugged mountains, pristine lakes, waterfalls and oaklands. It boasts the largest population of red deer in Europe. The park’s visitor centre offers guided walks and tours of Glenveagh castle and famous walled garden. The tea rooms are not to be missed.
If you are golfer, you are in for a treat when staying in Dunfanaghy. Dunfanaghy Golf Club is a 18 hole links golf course which is located on the edge of the village and within 2 minute’s walk of Moores Holiday Homes. Dunfanaghy Golf Club welcomes visitors and is very competitively priced. The course was laid out in 1905 by Harry Vardon, 6 times winner of the British open. Many years later a young boy named Paul McGinley learned to play golf on the fairways in Dunfanaghy. This young boy became Europe’s Ryder cup Captain in 2014. Paul is a regular visitor to the area and is a great supporter of Dunfanaghy golf club. Dunfanaghy golf course offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers of every ability with spectacular views of Killyhoey beach. There are also 6 other golf courses within 30kms of Dunfanaghy Village including Rosapenna Golf Resort, Portsalon Golf Course and Letterkenny Golf Club. There also is a 9 hole Pitch and Putt course adjacent to Dunfanaghy Golf Course for family fun.
